WashUp is made by Alain Fumero Nunez. This policy explains what the WashUp iOS app collects and why. In short: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

• Account info: your Sign in with Apple identifier and email (which may be a private relay address), plus your display name, username and avatar.
• Shower logs: shower type, rating, length, water temperature, captions, shower thoughts, song title and artist, place label, and when you logged it.
• Daily activities: the "Today I…" activities you select.
• Approximate location (optional): only when you turn on "Drop a pin" for a shower. It's rounded on your device to about 1 km before upload. We never collect precise or background location.
• Social activity: friend requests, reactions, nudges, anonymous smell reports, blocks and content reports.
• Push token: so friends' nudges can reach your device.

How we use it

Only to run the app: calculating your scores, sharing showers with the friends you accept, sending notifications, and keeping the community safe through moderation. No advertising, no data brokers.

Who can see your data

Your showers, stats and map pins are visible only to you and friends you've accepted. Anyone signed in can find your username, display name and avatar so they can send you a friend request. Smell reports are anonymous.

Service providers

Supabase stores and processes app data in the United States. Apple provides Sign in with Apple, push notifications and Apple Music search. Music search runs on your device, and we only store the song you choose.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. To delete it, go to Me → Settings → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your profile, showers, friendships, reactions and stats. Content reports may be kept for up to 90 days for safety review.

Children

WashUp is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data in the app, or email us for help. We honor applicable rights under GDPR and CCPA.

By using WashUp you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The app

WashUp is a humor app. The Stink Score and Sit-Down Air % are jokes, not medical or hygiene advice.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your account secure; you're responsible for what's posted from it. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content

WashUp has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post or send anything that is:

• hateful, discriminatory or threatening
• harassment or bullying, including targeting someone with repeated nudges
• sexual, nude or pornographic
• violent, illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights
• spam or impersonation

Captions and shower thoughts are filtered automatically. Any post or user can be reported, and anyone can be blocked, from the "•••" menu. We review reports within 24 hours and remove offending content and users.

4. Your content

You own what you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the friends you choose, only so we can operate WashUp.

5. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple's Standard EULA also applies. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app.

6. Disclaimers

WashUp is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any social consequences of your Sit-Down Air %.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If you keep using the app after an update, you accept the new terms. Questions: alainfumero2000@gmail.com

How is my Stink Score calculated?

It rises with hours since your last shower, plus points for each activity since then. Showering resets it: an Everything Shower resets it fully, and a Quick Rinse only resets half.

What's Sit-Down Air %?

The chance people nearby notice something when you sit down. It's based on your Stink Score, sweaty activities, days without a shower, and anonymous "I smelled it" reports from friends.

Who can see my showers?

Only friends you've accepted.

Is my location shared?

Only if you turn on "Drop a pin" when logging a shower. Even then, it's rounded to about 1 km.

How do I report or block someone?

Tap "•••" on their post or profile.

How do I stop nudges?

Turn off WashUp notifications in iOS Settings, or remove or block the friend.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Me → Settings → Delete account. It's permanent.
